The Peoples Club of Nigeria International is a social club providing social services, arranging, organizing, and hosting social events, get-togethers, and parties for club members. The Club was established in Nigeria in 1971 in Aba, Abia State of Nigeria. Within a few years of its inception, it became a popular club throughout Nigeria, leading to the formation of 22 branches. It was founded on the ideals of truth, justice, fair play, love, and service so aptly described by one of its past president-chief, Dr. C.N. Obioha.

By 1990, the Club went international with the establishment of its first branch in the United States of America in May 1990. The club now has fully functioning 17 branches in the United States with other branches in Canada and the United Kingdom.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring together people of all races, genders, and ages, sharing oneness and unity in times of hopelessness and allowing everyone the privilege to belong.

Our Vision

We envision a community founded on mutual respect and recognition for everyone’s differences, challenges, and current circumstances, leading with a big heart and a strong hand.

Our History

Peoples Club of Nigeria International was formed in 1971 in Aba (Abia state of Nigeria) by a small group of individuals led by chief Titus I. Ume-Ezeoke. This was at a period of hopelessness following the devastation of the Nigerian civil war which ended in 1970. The formation was timely and extensively welcomed because of the Club’s founding principle, which reads “Be your brother’s Keeper” and was also embodied in its motto: Unity, Love, & Service.

Since its formation, the Club has grown extensively. By the year 2000, there was a branch of Peoples Club in every major city in Nigeria. Peoples Club headquarters is located in Onitsha, Anambra State of Nigeria. Our club is often imitated but seldom duplicated. Since 1971, there have been other clubs who tried to compete with Peoples Club but could not compete. This is why being in the Peoples Club means having the privilege to belong. Membership is open to all, irrespective of race, religion, or tribe. Our club is also non-political and non-profit.

The People’s Club Protocol

It is a matter of protocol! —- the Peoples Club way!!!
The Peoples Club Protocol is what separates the club from every other organization. That’s what gives members the dignity and sense of belongingness while elevating the club above all other organizations.

Everything about the club follows a certain formality and etiquette.

The Peoples Club membership is all about respect, recognition for each other, and adherence to a strict code of social ethics and decorum. Peoples Club is about class, elegance, and nobility. It means having the privilege to belong, and this is why many are called, but only a few are chosen.

From the pageantry and ovation of the simple entrance of members to sitting arrangements to the way they talk and when they talk, Peoples Club members exude enthusiasm, orderliness, and discipline. They have a superior sense of hierarchy, procedure, and show of excellence. In Peoples Club, there is no hurry because everything must be done right.

Organizational Structure
Peoples Club of Nigeria International is headquartered in Onitsha, Anambra State. The day-to-day management of the club is led by an elected President who oversees the worldwide operations of over 44 branches.

The Club has a governing constitution, which describes its administrative authority, structure, and administration.

Each branch has an elected Chairman and Executive who report to the President and administer their branches under approved bylaws consistent with the constitution of Peoples Club of Nigeria International.

Chartering of Branches
Each branch is approved by the Headquarters in Nigeria upon meeting the criteria stipulated in the constitution.

When approved, a charter is granted authorizing the establishment of a local branch. The branch is inaugurated at its base of operation by the President accompanied by his executive staff, Patrons, Trustees, and other members of the Governing Council.

An elected executive can be dissolved by the authority in Onitsha for the cause. The charter of a branch can also be withdrawn for a cause.

Each member of the club is inducted by the President who confers membership after the individual swears an oath of allegiance.
Benefits of Joining Peoples Club of Nigeria International (PCNI)
  • PNCI supports its members at various levels of their endeavors and professions in business connections in and outside Nigeria.
  • PCNI graces member’s ceremonies by massive attendance.
  • PCNI has assets worth billions of US dollars and UK Pounds Sterling in various parts of the country and overseas, and the assets are generating future resources for the existing members and new joiners. As a result, new joiners no longer need to contribute to the Club; instead, the Club gives out to its members as support.
  • PCNI members can travel overseas to attend Induction and Inauguration events from time to time, as US and UK Embassies recognize PCNI and issue visas to members for such outings.
